Instead of acknowledging the problem of sexual harassment at the University of Jordan, the administration fired the professor and expelled the students. We demand that you reinstate Professor Rula Quawas and the students that were expelled from the University of Jordan, effective immediately. Removing Profesor Rula Qauwas from her position and expelling these students for their project for the Fall 2011 Feminist Theory class is absolutely deplorable. You should be ashamed that your institution, which should provide a safe learning environment for all students regardless of gender, has failed to do so. As the largest and oldest higher education center in your area, you should know better! By trying to silence these women you are only making the problem worse. Silencing them will NOT make the problem go away. We will not stop petitioning until these women are reinstated WITHOUT penalty.
