Save the Korean Language Program at UIC

Since 2013, KASA worked with KEC, Dr. Lucy Park and Ms. Hanae Kim to establish a Korean language program at UIC and due to everyone’s amazing efforts, we were able to start the Korean language program at UIC in Fall 2015. However, KOR101 (Elementary Korean I) will not be offered in Fall 2018 because there is no funding to continue the program and, shortly, there will be no Korean classes offered at UIC starting Fall 2019. All Korean language and culture classes are very popular so it is very sad to watch this program closing despite a large number of students still wanting to study Korean language and culture. Please help us to continue this program. If you want to take KOR101 next semester, please email Ms. Kim (firstname.lastname@example.org)
