Bring the 2000 children's essays of the Hull Blitz back to Hull

I discovered on the episode of - Blitz: the bombs that changed Britain, BBC 2 - that about 2000 essays of Hull school children recalling their experiences during the Hull blitz are stored at The University of East Anglia. This baffles me as to why they are not kept in Hull with the community that we're affected and the community who wrote these. If these are moved to Hull, they will more easily available to the local community to help educate those about the ramifications of the Blitz on Hull.
