Some students take in person classes because online classes are hard for them. Starting a online class puts these students at risk of failure and puts them at a disadvantage. Having students go from 4- 5 in person classes to 4- 5 online classes with only 4 weeks left in the semester is unfair and dooms these students to lower grades and the possibility of failure without recourse. So we are encouraging the the University of Houston to give these students a pass or not pass grade based on information learned before the coronavirus outbreak.
