The University of Hartford has announced its testing plan for the Fall 2020 semester.  Their plan currently is to test 5-10% of asymptomatic residential students each week, and they will also require a negative test before coming to campus.  There is no ongoing testing requirement for commuter students.  

This is insufficient.  

The University of Hartford should be testing 100% of its students (residential AND commuter), faculty, and staff each week.  COVID-19 is so often asymptomatic, and can spread so easily in an environment like a college campus, that it is vital to the health of our students, faculty, and staff, that we are all tested each week.  This will allow the school to ensure that EVERY COVID-positive patient is found and quarantined, so that the student body can remain healthy for the entirety of the semester.  

We all want to return to school, but we want to make sure that can be done in a way that keeps people safe and healthy.  Similar testing plans have been enacted by other Universities of a similar size to ours, and there's no reason our University shouldn't have this requirement as well.
