I have my head in the sand. I also have signed petitions demanding a humanitarian corridor in Syria and believe this could be accomplished by drawing a line on the road with chalk. The idea that a military could be used for peaceful means and to assist those who are involved with the development work I cherish is completely over my head.

The Government department at Essex needs to meet equality and liberty, that is, democratic organisations and war mongers and juggernaut states such as the US and its hegemony over Eastern Europe.

Education should be about exchange of ideas not backing the military alliances that have destroyed and maimed the futures of thousands around the globe. Disarm Essex University!

the bright minds our university has to offer should not be turned towards violence and subjugation. Instead, we should meditate upon how to negotiate peacefully.
