This year is going to be tougher than last for disruption. It makes no sense not to reinstate the no detriment policy. Come on, University of Edinburgh. Do the right thing.

The situation as detailed is gravely unfair. These fourth (final) year students trying to complete their degrees in present circumstances, should be doing so with the same acknowledgment and consideration in the form of the ‘no detriment’ policy as was granted the the fourth year students of last year. This being necessary and fair given the ongoing challenges - and particularly so, because they have had do adapt to a far less supportive and as such less rewarding study experience, over a much greater period of time.

I am a student at Edinburgh college of art and have been expected to produce portfolio quality pieces while working from my bedroom - this is not something I am able to do, and not something I should be expected to be able to do.

My daughter’s studies have been hindered by C19 and studying online has not helped her as face to face time is her preferred method of learning.

Unjust and unfair to treat students as if “normal “ times

Assessment must be fair for all students completing degrees during the Covid pandemic.

My daughter is intercalating and the University must ensure that Intercalating students are also covered and supported and don’t fall through the net.
