Save the Music and Dramatic Arts Library!

The Music and Dramatic Arts Library is used by students from an array of majors: music, drama, digital design and media, puppetry, art, and photography, as well as students from all other reaches of UConn. Patrons come from E.O. Smith High School, The Oak Apartments, and the dormitory areas such as Buckley, Shippee, and South campus. Last year, the library's hours were cut back. This year, they were cut even more. And now there are talks about moving some or all of the library's contents to Homer Babbidge.
The Music and Dramatic Arts Library is a necessity to the School of Fine Arts and the students and professors who use it daily. While everyone agrees that the School of Fine Arts does need space for offices and classrooms, we believe this is not the route we should be taking to solve our issues. The students would like to negotiate.
