University of Connecticut Parking Services: Revoke the Ticket that I was Unfairly Given

I parked overnight on campus in an area that starts ticketing at 7am. I arrived to my car in the parking lot in front of the Nathan Hale Inn at approximately 6:55am on October 3rd, 2012 to discover that I had already received a ticket. I approached the officer who was writing tickets and informed him that he had improperly ticketed me, as it was not yet 7:00am. The police officer immediately shouted me down and told me that my clock was wrong and that his was right. Two individuals witnessed the event and immediately approached me to inform me that they too believed that it was not yet 7:00am. The police officer told all three of us that we were wrong simply because we were not police officers. Despite this, three people agreed that the time was incorrect.I understand that the officer was just trying to do his job and that he clearly has a ticket quota to fill, but he was incorrect in writing me a ticket before the designated hour. If I had come out after 7:00am, I would have paid the ticket just as I have in the past. Yet because the officer acted in an inappropriate and abusive use of power in writing this ticket, I feel that it would be fair to repeal this fine.
