Dear UC,

The decision regarding the first 2 weeks of college going online will definitely affect our studies but we also understand that our health matters above all and so we completely support this decision. Moreover, because of this pandemic, everyone is losing something or the other and I hope that you understand that us, students are losing both, the experience and the money. International students come here especially to gain the experience which they do not get in their home countries or I'd rather say, it's not enough. An international student fee costs nearly $35000 (different for every other student), excluding the living expenses. We do not know how long will this continue but our only request is that we should get some kind of refund in return for sacrificing our experience. We know that we both are helpless but we really want you to understand that we are losing both things. Plus, if we stay home, our utilities cost us more than anything. I'm pretty sure that for every student, the utilities bill will be more this time, and considering that international students aren't allowed to work off-campus and for on-campus jobs, the number of applicants is way more than the demand, and this way, not everyone gets an opportunity to work and earn from on-campus jobs. We are trying our best to make the ends meet and we hope that you understand our situation and take necessary actions.
