John Thompson started this petition to University of Central Florida

The public University of Central Florida (UCF) has a signed contract with Coca Cola that gives exclusive rights to Coke brands on all UCF property. This limits student beverage consumption options with little to no benefits to students. 70,000 students with different tastes and brand preferences are forced to drink and pay for Coke products. Coke gives UCF 1.2 MILLION dollars a year to be the exclusive beverage company on campus, with free Dasani water and Powerade to the athletics department, but then the rest of the student population has to pay normal beverage prices and has been given no information on what that 1.2 million dollars goes to. This contract does not equally benefit the entire student population.

Students attend UCF for unique opportunities from a great university - this Coke contract limits what events/activities/products can be offered to students. We, the students and alumni, would like the Coca Cola exclusivity contract to be ended to allow for an open market to let STUDENTS choose what beverages they want to pay for and consume.

UCF PLEASE END CAMPUS BEVERAGE EXCLUSIVITY!!
