As a native Californian I've always been proud of the openness and freedom available to students of UC schools. I am hoping that that the Board of Regents will not pay heed to the intimidation of Amcha and its leaders.
As an aside, I also hope that the Board will recognize the oppression that the Palestinians have to live with daily and that you will support freedom for them as well.

As an alumna of UCSC (Histor of Consciousness Ph.D, 2008), I am appalled by the intimidation and surveillance of students and faculty who support justice in Palestine.

This is an attack on the purpose of education which is to explore a variety of issues based on academic scholarship and freedom. Petty attacks by Amcha are attacks on educational freedom and are intended to muffle scholarship. This has the handprint of fascism.

Serious Violations as well as attacks on First Amendment rights create fear everywhere. Not a very good reputation for the entire UC Regent system!

I am very familiar with the outrageous tactics of Tammi Benjamin at UCSC and I graduated from the university in 1971. It is an outrage what she and her co-conspirators are doing to the intellectual climate at UCSC.

I took classes for my teaching credential while my husband took his Phd at UCD. It outrages me that spying on students is allowed.
