Do you ever wonder what college tuition is really paying for? Or, why do students still have to pay for certain resources in addition to paying annual tuition? Or, have you ever found a class that you need but refuse to take it because it is after the sun goes down?

Classes on college campuses at night are often avoided due to the lack of other students on campus at the time, leaving the campus feeling dark and lonely. In addition, many students, including myself, feel unsafe wandering about campus at night time because there are significantly less students on campus, meaning it is a less safe environment for others. Another instance where this would be helpful is for students who commute to campus multiple times a day and have to either purchase an outrageously priced annual parking pass or have to purchase multiple passes in one day because their classes are not consecutive.

Well, if college administrators allowed free parking to students after 5pm on weekdays, this would eliminate the problems previously mentioned. A free nightly parking pass would allow students to attend their classes without having to either worry about their purchased one hour pass not being enough time to walk to, attend, and then walk from their class or paying too much money for unnecessary options of hour parking passes. Students would also be more inclined to taking night classes if it didn’t involve them walking, biking, or riding the bus to class and being able to park at will.  All students would have to do is scan their access cards at designated parking pass machines and receive a nightly parking pass to allow them to park for their class, study session, or office hours.

So please, sign this petition to grab college administrator's attention and encourage free campus parking at night.
