Charis Armstrong started this petition to University of Brighton (Brighton Uni Students)

Students at the University of Brighton have been saying how difficult the readings are to do online and would like to go back to using physical readers.

Having paid a lot of money to attend University, we feel it is our right to learn the way we learn, using physical paper. We need these to write notes for our assignments and work efficiently and to achieve our desired marks. We feel that our potential is limited due to this lack of resources.

Group Rep’s have stated in previous years how useful readers are, and we feel our voices have not been heard here. The University of Brighton have said that they are proud to act on Student Voice, and we would appreciate it if they followed through.

As young people in this day and age, we actively care about the environment and understand the reasons for this decision to go digital. However, readers can be made from recycled paper, can be totally optional and printed upon request. Printed resources will last students for their entire degree and beyond, especially in the School of Education.

We ask that you sign this petition to pressure the University to seriously reconsider their decision, providing us with the bare minimum that we require; the readings they ask us to read. It is essential that this change happens imminently as assignments get closer and we need our notes.

Want your readers back? SIGN THIS!

Thanks for your time :)
