When UA's 30,000+ students go home for spring break, they will travel to far corners of the world, where the coronavirus outbreak is much more serious than it is in tuscaloosa. In order to keep the student body safe and healthy, we need to cancel physical classes, and stop the students from returning to campus en masse, where their frequent use of common bathrooms, dining halls, classrooms, and gathering places poses a real and present threat to student health and our everyday routines that support us in our pursuit of knowledge. Join me and many other UA students in petitioning the university for concrete and expeditious action in our interests.
