Ryan Dewitt-Todd started this petition to Universal Pictures and

In: "1968", music composer: "Andrew Lloyd Webber", and lyricist: "Tim Rice", teamed up together and created a stage musical, based on the one of the most popular bibical stories of all-time: "Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". It got a bunch of stage performances, and in 1999, a direct-to-video feature film starring Donny Osmond as the titular character, but as of now, that's the only film adaptation of the musical. It never got a theactrical big budget feature film, so I had this idea for Universal Pictures to release a theactrical big budget film adaptation of Joseph. It could be a Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat that no one has ever seen before! This musical has a huge impact to the fanbase. Fans love it because of the story, and the songs (because of all the different musical styles they pay homage to), and how the entire story is told through song, with very little spoken dialogue. Not to mention, it's one of Andrew Lloyd Webber's most popular musicals. So it would be a great honor if Universal and The Really Useful Group did and gave the musical a big budget feature movie that could be shown in theaters for people all around the world to pay and go see, (like they're doing with Cats), and this petition can help! It could reintroduce a lot of people to the musical and of course, hearing the songs in the same format of the musical too. It would be a great way to see a proper film version of Joseph with real actual money behind it, and real actual sets, (as oppose to one that was very low budget and had very fake looking sets). So, let's do this!
