I am a school kitchen manager. I believe all children need a decent breakfast and lunch to focus and thrive in school. Many children aren’t able to receive free or reduced lunches due to a parents past criminal history. Children shouldn’t be punished for poor choices that adults made. Many people allegedly make too much money yet still struggle to pay for multiple children’s lunches. The children are our future. They deserve to have their basic needs met while they are at school. We make certain that they are safe and learning and growing but we fail on a daily basis to make sure they are ALL fed. This country has too much to have children hungry at school. This is an over looked tragedy that happens every single day. Please help to make a change for the children of our country.
