Nigerians fought for our independence from the British. We won that fight in 1960. Afterwards, we had good leaders, economy was booming. We were known as the giant of Africa. But presently, what kind of giants are we? For years now, said economy has dropped. Our people suffer. Corruption is the norm. Our youths divulge into dubious ways to attend money in order to meet the standards set out by our so called leaders. Countries now want nothing to do with us. Our politicians take the country’s money for their own self use. What was known to be the giant of African is now a mockery. What has this independence done for us? I say we forgo the independence for now. For 15years. We aren’t selling ourselves, we are simply polishing our future by letting someone else take over. Let those who have a arsenal help us fight for our future. Let them deliver us from these so called leaders. Let our hardworking youths have assess to technology and education so that when it’s time to regain that independence, we’d have our own arsenal. The leaders of tomorrow we call our youths, well, let those tomorrow leaders be prepared for it. Becuse if we continue this way, either there won’t be a future or the youth would follow in today’s leaders footsteps.
