After waiting for 6 years for his Visa appt in Oct. 2010 Husband went to Juarez MX for his appt leaving two daughters 11 and 14 at the time and myself. Everything was expected to go well per our lawyer and was expected back in a week to maybe a few months. Hard Worker, wonderful dad, had a great relationship with our "Caucasian" retired neighbors, they loved him. (Note: he did have a few DUI's from his teenage years, but that's it) A week went by and they told him to wait a month for a letter. So he went to Guadalajara, Jal. to his mothers house and waited. In Jan 2011 we received a letter saying he was being denied due to the possibility of being affiliated to a criminal organization. WHAT? Our lawyers thought that was ridiculous, that is what the 6 years of waiting was for. They investigated everything on him, fingerprints, FBI background check, everything. The lawyer tried to get a hold of the Consulate in Juarez and were told that was the decision and they did not have to give a reason or why. I contacted our State Governor for his help and he sent the Consulate in Juarez a letter and he got the same answer and he deeply apologized he couldn't be of any more help. I want to know why so we can at least try to fight it. I've been quiet too long and suffered way too long. My daughters are now 18 and 21 has missed out on their graduations and he is now a grandfather. I just want a fighting chance to fight his case. With out a reason it's very hard to do. Any suggestions are welcome. God Bless.
