Adnan Syed was wrongfully convicted of Hae Min Lee's murder back in February of 2000. There are many inconsistences and holes in many stories that makes it clear we cannot trust evidence given to us. Police misconduct tells us that this case was rushed through, and not taken seriously. Detectives were more concerned with closing this case then with solving it. So now Adnan sits in prison, with a life sentence, for a crime he did not commit.

Adnan was just 17 years old when he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee. Along with all the inconsistencies in Jay Wilds story, (Jay was one of Adnan’s classmates, who provided much information on Hae’s murder) Police misconduct allowed for important pieces of evidence to be left out. The last attempt in 2019 to hear an appeal for a new trial was turned down by the Supreme Court. If Adnan’s case gets re-examined, we may be able to find out the truth behind Hae’s murder and be able to do her justice.
