Angela R. Stanley and I entered into a civil commitment together with Angela R. Stanley changing her last name to my Last name on March 18th 2013, following our civil commitment we decided to have a baby after being told Angela had up to a year to try because of her indometrosis , we conceived Our son Mason Isaac Stanley (Hackney) at our home by use of sperm donation injection by syringe , donor remains anonymous, I Tabatha Michelle Hackney injected the sperm and Angela R. Hackney gave birth to our son in TN, on June/20/2013 at 12:07pm after our son was born it became legal that Oct/06/2013 in the state of VA for same sex couples to marry , we decided on the behalf of our son and to also have it on paper to just go to the court house and get it legal so we became legally married Oct/20/2013 in wise VA, from the moment we found out we was pregnant I was treated as the other parent, every doctor visit, I picked out the pediatrician and decided the shot schedule, his named after my grandmas father, my name was put down as other parent in his head start class, my son was 3 when we separated, I filed for equal rights of our son and joint custody and was denied . This law must change ASAP no parent deserves to be told they are not the parent to there child because they didn't give birth , his 4 now and I've had to miss out on his birthday , and holidays and vacations with my baby boy and I am having to battle things that would have never had to have been an issue if I was given my equal parental rights to my son , I've been broken in a way no parent should be broken, I'll never get the time back with my beautiful son that's being taken from me. So please sign this petition to get this law changed to were if two women decide to have a baby together, the non-gestational partner gets the same equal rights as the gestational partner, we are not the first lesbians couple to get married or the first lesbians couple to go through a divorce or a custody battle, but I'm going to do what any parent would do for there child and fight for there right to have them equally because as a parent I worry about his physical and mental health as well and I want my child to be raised in the land of the FREE were we are supposed to have our RIGHTS and our FREEDOM who's punishing here??? An innocent child that wasn't asked to be put in this world!!! Mommy loves you Mason Isaac Stanley (Hackney) we will be watching football and playing with our superheroes again soon my love!..TIA LGBT SUPPORT!
