The Edmunds Act of 1882 that outlawed polygamy is now preventing me and other men/women from adding  more love to marriages. I am a 40 year old woman who's only child passed away and I am unable to bear anymore children. This was, and still is a devastating loss to me. I have a dream that my family unit could marry a beautiful wife to give us beautiful children. I have a dream that I'm surrounded by my children from many wives of different ethnicity, and my black, brown, white and yellow children look at each other and say "Brother/Sister, I love you! They wouldn't see color, only a sister or brother or mother. Adding more love to a family unit shouldn't be a crime! It's ridiculous! If 2 or more people want to enter into a marriage they should have the right to do so! Love is infinite! It can't be measured or capped. I can absolutely, unequivocally love 2 or more people within my marriage equally and be a completely happy and successful family unit. The EDMUNDS act of 1882 implies that if I love and want to marry more than 1 person I'm wrong...but why??? Do you only love 1 child at a time??? Or 1 puppy at a time??? Or 1 family member or friend? Of course not! It's the stupidest law that could've ever been passed and it needs to be changed now! It's so much love in my heart to give! A 3rd or 4th wife to the marriage would be amazing! I can! and will! love all my wives with all my heart as I would all my children because LOVE IS LOVE! YOU CAN'T MAKE LOVE A CRIME! I should legally be able to love, marry, honor and cherish as many beautiful souls as I can. I am the founder and creator of NEW POLY NATION. I created NEWPOLY because it's a bunch of people like me, stuck in monogamous relationships who are yearning to add more love to a marriage. It took the LGBTQ community 4 years to win! I'll spend the rest of my days trying to make this family dream a reality.
