Two year old Jayce was the happiest, sweetest, smartest, and most well-behaved little boy I have ever met. His personality shined and could bring a smile to anyone, even when the last thing you felt like doing was smile. He was amazing!

All of that ended in the most horrific way. His mother and her boyfriend began a downward spiral of torture to this sweet boy, admittingly disciplining him in the most cruel and unusual ways... until the final punch to his little stomach caused his intestines to burst. It took three days; Jayce laying in his own vomit; lethargic and weak, lifeless... before going to be with the Lord. His mom and her boyfriend, refusing to seek medical help in fear of being judged for their actions, watched him die.

Both were sentenced today. The boyfriend sentenced to 12 years. Mom sentenced to 6 years. Both plea bargained for lesser time, lesser charges.

This is not okay! SIX years for taking the innocent life of a 2 year old child. Her parents were aware and did nothing! His mom walked free on bond for 3 years until sentencing. Nothing is right about this case. How many children have to die before laws are put in place to hold the parents at full responsibility for killing their child? To hold those who knew and did nothing responsible? Murder is murder and should not be allowed to be plea bargained. They admitted the acts that caused his death - a life sentence for taking a life! Jayce's grandparents knew he was dyeing, pleaded for her to take him to the hospital, she refused, and they did nothing about it.

Please sign this petition for stiffer punishments. Killing a child should get you life in prison - NO PAROLE, NO PLEA BARGAINS. Those who are aware and do not act should be just as guilty. Please sign, share, and help give this little boy the justice he deserves! #JusticeForJayce
