The military has for long gotten away with many deleterious crimes dealing with harassment, murder, sexual assault and violations of equal opportunities. I would like for justice to be served and for the guilty to be held accountable for the actions in which they themselves have partaken. The military should not back service members who commit crimes in violation of human decency and rights. Those who violate any laws should receive due legal ramification for the actions they commit. No one in uniform should hide behind FERES when committing atrocities against fellow members, which deters cohesion and affects morale.

FERES should be revised so that criminals hiding behind a uniform are no longer receiving sanctuary from their wrongful actions. The most recent case was that of Vanessa Guillén. Many Soldiers raised their hand to protect the nation they love, they should not pay with their lives for urges criminals in the military volunteer force act upon. It is time to put a stop to hiding behind the uniform! It is time for a reform to take place! Protect your military victims by doing what is legally and ethically right.

No one should live in fear of retaliation for speaking up against what is wrong! Enough is enough! Let justice be served in a way that is fair and impartial to those who violate human rights. It’s time to wake up and strive for a modern system that takes into account fairness and equality throughout all genders and races. It is time for a change!
