Tranell Nash started this petition to Community Petition Support Needed

Reason For This Petition:

This campaign comes in support for the Freedom of our loved one Tranell Nash-who more than sixteen years ago as a young teen who had just turned 18 was arrested and charged in 2003 by the State of Indiana with three felony counts. Tranell had a history of substance abuse and was on a destructive path in life, yet, he makes no excuses for his actions. The State of Indiana convicted Tranell on two out of the three being the crimes of Class A Felony Attempted Robbery and the Unlawful Possession of a Handgun. Unfortunately, in the commission of these crimes, there was a loss of life, though this was not Tranell's intentions.

For the past 16 years of his young life-Tranell has been locked away and there is still an additional 13 years yet remaining on the sentence imposed by the court. For he was grossly over sentenced to 58 years of imprisonment. This level of the sentence is typically only given to people convicted of INTENTIONALLY killing others. It is very rare for someone to receive this amount of time when they didn't intend to harm the victim-especially someone Tranell's age. Statistically, Tranell's sentence is much higher than the average-both in Indiana and in other states.

Today, Tranell is no longer the young adolescent 18-year-old he once was during the time of his arrest. For Tranell,  today he is a much more mature 34-year-old adult man. Who has made tremendous strides towards redemption and reformation of his life as he is actively involved with also bringing repairs and changes within the social environment of his societal communities.

Tranell has also has shown the initiative in starting his own Letter Writing Outreach from prison-where he desires to be of service in his community is being fulfilled one letter at a time as he writes letters as an effort in giving back to his communities. Tranell finds it to be a passion to serve and to give back to others. Included in his initiative of service in writing letters, he has written letters in the support of various communities' causes: mentoring youth; letters of compassion to domestic violence groups/organizations; has offered words of advice for leaders within our communities. He has written multiple letters to the leaders of the City of Indianapolis' government office offering solutions to help with our city's violence. Tranell also writes letters to our veterans, our homeless shelters, hospital patients (adults and children), our faith/church-based groups, among other community services in showing his support of our communities' causes.

Tranell does these things as he holds JUSTICE to be of his most personal value of affirmation. I believe Justice is "the right of entitlement given to all creation by our Creator. My causes now are to strive for Justice for all-whether it is civil rights, women rights, gender equality, affordable health care, equal and fair opportunity in economic status/social status/educational and career; to strive for having concern and care for our environment, to freedom of religious practices, and also for the fair and just treatment within the current U.S. Judicial System. My life's mission has become to service his social environment in making productive and progressive impacts that bring about a change of which ensures that all of creation be afforded their right of entitlement to Justice as set in motion by our Creator. If your causes are of Just and Righteous treatment of ALL creation,-then I also stand in support with you striving for Justice.

We are asking for Signatures/Support (via email) to help this young in obtaining Freedom-where we seek in accomplishing our goal of 10,000 online signatures so that Tranell will be able to present a petition to both the State of Indiana and the Indiana Govern's office for which bring about change to ensure that all of creation be afforded their right of entitlement to Justice as given by our Creator".

Tranell needs support (your support)-and we Tranell's family (mother, step-father, brother, cousins, nephews, aunties, uncles) and his friends and loved ones ask of your support of signing Tranell's online petition to help Tranell in getting Justice. For he has been gone nearly half of his entire life and we want Tranell home so that he can bring the change into our societal communities that we understand he will bring if he only had the opportunity of coming home. Tranell has a unique experience to offer-just as all of the millions of our men and women who are also being unjustly held captive in prison to have unique perspectives of their experiences to contribute within our society. At this moment Tranell NEEDS your support of achieving the TEN THOUSAND (10,000) signatures for him to petition the State of Indiana Governor's office. Tranell thanks you as do we Tranell's family, friends and love ones are grateful for your support.
