Ellen Mariani, a 9/11 widow, is seeking justice from the United States Supreme Court regarding her diminished status in the estate of her deceased husband, Louis Neil Mariani, a passenger on United Airlines, flight 175. Ellen was never able to recover his remains. See www.marianilawsuit.com.
Ellen was wrongly shut out of her case and she is the last person who lost a family member on 9/11 who is still fighting to try to find justice through the courts.
“Every other person who lost a loved one on 9/11 either took the government hush money and agreed not to sue in court or else when they did try to litigate they were bullied, pressured and manipulated by the court into settling their case without a trial. Not one of those cases has been allowed to go to trial.”
It has been Ellen’s pursuit of truth that has caused her the greatest problems in dealing with a scheme designed to quickly compensate claimants whose rights and opportunity to be heard in any court had to be waived in exchange for no-fault settlements, and loss of rights to ever sue anyone who was possibly liable.
While her rights have become extinct; the estate of her husband was settled over her strong objections. More importantly, Ellen’s disclosure of judicial conflicts of interest with both the U. S. Judge of the Southern District of NY, and the probate court administrator of her husband’s estate, have caused both she and her lawyer to be threatened with sanctions.
Ellen Mariani, however, has not given up and she has appealed to the US Supreme Court with a Petition For Writ Of Certiorari. This may be the last hope that she has of ever receiving truth and justice in the United States court system.

(To better understand the tight grip that Congress placed on victims and the corporate concerns over those of individuals; it is strongly recommended to study the structure of the Air Transportation Safety and System Stabilization Act (ATSSSA).)
