Preston Cobb started this petition to United States School systems

The Coronavirus outbreak began January 1st, 2020. It’s just two full months, the virus has spread globally, to tens of thousands of victims. The virus is causing panic, wreaking havoc, and threatening public health. With spring break coming up, hundreds of thousands are at risk in America. Students often go on cruises, flights, and trips to popular places. Many of these places have the coronavirus, this is a threat. Once students come back from their vacations to their schools, they could easily spread the virus to their peers. The virus is airborne which means no physical contact is necessary to spread the virus. As a student, I believe school systems should consider shutting down for two weeks after Spring Break season, or longer. This would not only protect public health, but relieve the paranoia of people. The coronavirus is spread easily on cruises, planes, and public events which many people go to during spring break and summer in general. The virus will spread, and it’s not stopping anytime soon. Health experts and medical companies estimate one year or more for the viruses vaccination to come abroad. We must take precautions where they’re needed. We the people, want our health, and community to be protected at all costs. All schools and public events/business should not hesitate to shut down if a virus is spreading. The virus may mainly be a threat to the young and elderly, but students can bring it home to these groups, this will save lives, and health.
