Bring back the letter collection boxes on Maude Ave in Sunnyvale, CA

The post office at the crossing of Maude and Mary Avenues in Sunnyvale, CA was closed by USPS. The nearest post office is about 1.5 miles away on Taaffe Street, Sunnyvale.

In these days when everyone is careful about gas price and green house gas, why waste 3 miles of extra driving just to post a letter and buy stamps?

When closing the post office may have been necessitated by cost cutting, there should not be any reason why a stamp vending machine or letter collection boxes (including ExpressMail posting) cannot be established at or near the old location.

We request USPS to bring back the letter collection boxes and a stamp vending machine at or near the now-defunct post office on Maude Ave in Sunnyvale, CA.
