For many years in politics, decisions are made based on what side of the political party that the representatives are on. There are even times where many elected government officials switched platforms because of the increased chances of becoming elected. If this is the case, apparently platforms don't represent a true basis of decisions or sides. I ask you if you could conceptualize what politics could be like if we eliminated the platforms? The elected officials would vote on the basis of what is right for our country and not their party lines. In small town politics, that is exactly how decisions are made.
