It is no secret that the US Prison System is a mess, a mess that predates the Covid 19 Pandemic by many years. The Corona virus has been a crippling blow within the prison system and has shed light on the mismanagement and poor administration of processes and protocols inside the Bureau of Prisons.  Thousands of inmates have contracted the disease and scores of others have died from it.  How many of these infections and deaths were the result of mismanagement?  How many could have been prevented?

I am asking the Congress of the United States to conduct a comprehensive inquiry/investigation into the management of the Bureau of Prisons, which falls under the auspices of the Department of Justice.  While the imprisoned inmates suffer unimaginably in our prisons, the Silent Victims - family members of those incarcerated - suffer as much.  My wife is serving a 75 month sentence for crimes she simply did not commit.  That is our cross to bear.  However, she should not be sent to prison to die.

A great nation cannot let injustice flourish in the guise of bureaucratic ineptitude.  Please urge Congress to take action and right the wrongs within our prison system.  Thank you very much.
