Have you ever been to a circus show? If yes, then you might ahev seen animals, maybe tigers jumping into hoops or lions dancing around. What if I told you that most of the time, for the animals to be so obedient, they are often mistreated, abused, by staying in tiny cages where they can't move or by being punished badly when they don't do as told. They live in fear. Trainers use whips, electric prods, bullhocks and other painful tools to force them to perform.

When they are not being tortured, the animals are confined in cages or attached to chains. 96% of a circus animal's life is spent in chains or cages.

In fact, every major circus that uses animals has been cited for violating the minimal standards of animal care set by the United-States Animal Welfare (AWA), like the Ringling that has been put down because of this matter.

A way to remedy to all of that unnecessary cruelty is to start by going step by step and to investigate on circuses that use animals in their shows to see how they treat their animals, and to be persistant with the government since they have the power, and raise awareness around us.
