We the people are told this is a democracy, that the people have the power to elect their own leaders. However, that is not the truth. The electoral college is an elite body of 538 electors. The electoral college, by definition, is a group of the most “well suited” individuals to decide the next presidential candidate. These individuals have chosen Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential race and also George Bush Jr in 2000. These presidencies, specifically the most recent, have caused much harm and destruction to humans everywhere, And life shattering death to some families. Most Executive decisions we’re proven unconstitutional and irresponsible along with lethal punches to our already crucial climate crises. Citizens it our time to take back our children’s future by electing a candidate NOT driven by money but driven with integrity and a true passion for the well-being of humanity. We, the citizens of the United States, deserve to chose our own representative by popular vote. WE are the checks and balances!! We have to pay attention and ensure a sustainable and quality future for our society! This is our utmost priority responsibility as people who have a say in electing the leader the the biggest terrorist organization in the world.
