Many employees of the surrounding ski resorts and locals in general are finding it difficult to find places to live, reasonably priced or not. In previous seasons many of us have found the most efficient and safe way to find housing is to live in a camper or van for the winter. Finding parking can be very difficult as many lots do not allow overnight parking. If the recreation department could find a way to keep Granite Flat, Goose Meadows, or Silver Creek open, charging a fee to cover the cost of plowing, many of us would be jumping on the opportunity for a safe place to park our rigs while we sleep, and not run the risk of being in the way for plows going about their nightly duties. Without us, this mountain town would not run the way it does, there wouldn't be anyone to run the lifts or scan groceries, no one at the desk at check for the hotels, no one to teach children to ski. Please consider giving us an affordable option for the winter, not only as a community but as the hardworking people keeping the mountain running for daily operations and the town flourishing and welcoming for tourism.
