Why this petition matters
- It is illegal to hire someone due to their race, gender, sexuality, etc. And yet there is a growing pressure for companies to practice diverse hiring to avoid public scrutiny and seem more inclusive. Diversity, not of the thinking kind, but due to the growing trend of identity politics.
It is due to the belief, that when there is a disparity between races, there must be something discriminatory going on, ignoring what the Civil Rights Movement has done for society and the countless other factors that play in, most importantly, personal responsibility. This is what polls do. They measure what each demographic does based on personal responsibility. For it is the mentality that sets one's limits. To blame it on an identity is to lose individual responsibility and join into victimized group mentality, more related to the victim himself. This group thinking creates group stereotypes, dangerous for both the individual and the society. A rational individual rejects these ideas, which leads to greater disparities and greater outcry, an endless bitter cycle.
For ones lost in this cycle, it is proposed that the gap should be fixed by focusing on identity rather than merit. This, in turn, leads to candidates with better qualifications being rejected over something they can't control. Turning a non discriminatory situation into a discriminatory one.
So is it this I deliver a message to the USES, to spread to all corporations.
Will you stand for liberty?
Or succumb to misery?
