Airrington Sykes is a talented, caring, and compassionate young man. In a desperate move to escape the viscous streets of Chicago, Airrington left the city in December of 2016 and went to the city of Iowa. Airrington was hoping to obtain a job as a truck driver.
On December 5th, 2016, Airrington and his friend Michael went to wash their cloths and Airrington made the mistake of holding his friend's gun. According to the police report, “Michael Liggins had a permit to carry weapons, but he wasn’t wearing a belt to hold the firearm, so he had his friend, Airrington L. Sykes hold onto the weapon when they went to clean laundry”.
A woman who was also doing laundry found the magazine mixed in with her clothing and reported the item to police. Airrington was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, carrying weapons.
While no one was hurt at all from this incident, the United States Federal Government has decided to prosecute Airrington on criminal charges. Airrington is waiting to be sentenced and faces up to 10 yrs. in jail.
