On 168th Street the community has been able to make a left turn into Krome Avenue (177th Avenue). With the new construction the community is not able to make a left turn. The now the community drivers have to go to the next intersection, which is a mile away, to make a u-turn. This is an inconvenience and a safety hazard as many have freight trucks and habitants of the area create traffic and block northbound drivers. This causing many to make ilegal left turns, resulting in a safety hazard. Exiting the street is also a safety hazard as drivers on the main road make it difficult to make the turn due to their speed of the oncoming traffic and an electric pole that reduces visability. There are multiple businesses and 168th street is a major road, this is not only inconvenient to the local community, but also to many that visit the national park and its events throughout the year. According to the construction company in charge of the remodel, the secretary reported a light was not placed due to no fatalities in this exit, however this is a major safety concern going forward.

Please sign to support this petition, as a community we need a light for our safety and the ability to make a left turn.

We appreciate your support!
