Alcohol related accidents and deaths are one the most preventable accident types in the United States. By retrofitting all vehicles to have an alcohol detection system and requiring all new cars to come equipped with them, the United States can save thousands of lives each year, and save families from heartache and suffering. The United States would save millions of dollars in tax money as first first responders would have not have as many accidents to report to, and law enforcement could focus on other areas of crime instead of investigating accidents. The legal system would also no longer have to prosecute drivers and the justice system would save millions by no longer having to house convicted drivers. But most importantly, it will end senseless deaths and grief that impacts thousands of Americans every day.
