Government enforcement of insurance should lead to government backed settlement funds
Why this petition matters

Our government has been enforcing a law that we are to pay car insurance but they are not enforcing our insurance companies to pay out when there is an a settlement. If insurance is being sold and enforced upon us to protect us from litigation or from being hurt with no way to care for ourselves, then when we reach a settlement with the insurance company and they can’t pay the state should back up the settlement. I shouldn’t have to work in such extreme pain with severe whiplash and a spinal injury to keep from being homeless which will happen eventually bc my body is not going to last much longer when I have already signed a settlement agreement a year ago. I shouldn’t have to now be fighting a year later with my own insurance company still trying to work, still not getting to rest and heal to recover my money when I had the coverage. There should be a law enforcing insurance companies to pay settlements or a fund to back up insurance companies when they can’t. I worked hard my entire life and I shouldn’t be going through this stress after an accident instead of being able to heal. We need new laws enforcing insurance companies to pay out their guarantee. Big insurance companies and big trucking companies shouldn’t be able to get away with these things. We need tougher laws on the insurance companies and big trucking companies insurance. I was hit by a tractor trailer and I’m struggling to keep a roof over my head and food to eat and I can’t even afford medical care anymore yet I signed a settlement for $75k last year and haven’t seen a penny. Who is working for me and who is protecting me???? Not my government they are working for the big insurance companies bc they all getting my money while I’m going to end up on the streets homeless the mother of 3 amazing children one of which is defending our country. #militarymomma
