Every tax season, multitudes of working people within the United States perform the annual ritual of tax filing. Some of us get refunds, while some of us owe, but there is one thing that unites us all. We have more than likely contributed to the United States Treasury in some form. It is about time that we finally get recognized by the Treasury for our endless contributions to its coffers in the form of graphic T shirts that read "Taxpaying Patriot". In this time of acute political division, this is an issue that transcends ethnic, national, and religious barriers. It is an issue that has the ability to unite us all. This is the Treasury's moment to step up and be the leader not that we want, but that we need. I for one will be just as proud to wear our "Taxpaying Patriot" shirts just as much as I am to pay the taxes themselves.
