The home at 466 Granite View Dr. Perris,Ca 92571 has been vacant for 2 years. Before the home owner died, this house was the best kept and well groomed house on the block. For over a year now, squatters have took the house. At first they did everything in their power to tear the house up.As of  April of 2021, Code boarded up the home and salvaged what it could to make the neighborhood look more presentable. I live across the street and have witnessed stolen cars being removed from the garage, 2 little girls crying as they ran out of this house, men arrested with guns, and loud music playing as a result of my neighbors and myself calling law enforcement. Some neighbors and I know that the squatters are watching our homes and it makes me very uncomfortable. I've lived in my home for 12 years now and know that gun purchase is a must. I'm scared to go on vacation.Even when I get home from work, I try to water my plants as fast as I can because of fear. My home is suppose to be my safe haven. I work for the Post Office and didn't have the option to "Shelter in Place" like the rest of the world, so feeling safe at night will result in a peaceful sleep. I only want justice to be served by getting rid of squatters and selling the home to another hard working family that will pay a mortgage, home owners insurance, and property taxes as I do. Now this will add to the econoomy and the community. Letting people stay there for free won't! It only slaps us in the face that pay for our homes and promotes criminal activity to those that don't. Also, there are many people on housing assistance but can't find housing when this property and other properties remain vacant inviting this kind of behavior. If someone is trying to get their life together, it can not be accomplished by breaking the law! Please give us our nice neighborhood back!
