Stop the deportation of Alfredo Segundo
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
Please stop Alfredo Alcantara Segundo from being deported back to Mexico.
In 2006 Alfredo, originally of Mexico, was picked up and arrested in Georgia for not having United States Citizenship or paperwork showing he could be in the United States legally. He was then taken to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement where he was told to sign a paper so that he could go home. Mr. Segundo does not read or write English very well and his primary language is Spanish. The paper he signed was in English and had no Spanish translation on it. The Immigration officers refused a translator and told him to sign it to go home. Mr. Segundo had no idea he was signing deportation paperwork.
Since his release in 2006 Mr. Segundo has been living for the past 12 years, without any legal trouble, in the state of Alabama. He lives with his wife, Christina Alarcon (Segundo) a natural born United States citizen, her daughter and grandsons. He is the sole caretaker for his wife who has several illnesses, some which are considered terminal. These illnesses include but are not limited to: artificial intestines, lupus, congestive heart failure, COPD,high blood pressure and trama to the stomach. She was recently in a coma which resulted in her inability to walk or function well on her own. To deport him would most likely result in the death of Mrs. Alarcon (Segundo).
It is our hope that you will please join us in making sure that Mr. Segundo is able to stay in the United States to care for his wife. Thank you and God Bless!
