Healthcare professionals across the United States of America are on the front lines, fighting this ongoing battle to save lives from COVID-19. They are risking their own lives every single minute they work today. Right now, in this moment, the staff is not concerned about paychecks. Their only thought is about saving another human life.  The leaders of hospitals across this country are currently failing the doctors and nurses in this moment.

We have sent Navy hospital ships to multiple areas. The government has been approving factories to convert their production lines to create more masks and ventilators. We have citizens producing N95 masks from 3-D printers. However, it does not matter how many masks and gloves we have if the hospitals continue to follow obscene policies of “Don’t scare the patients”, “You don’t need it”, “Do not talk to the media”, etc.  The entire hospital staff and EMT’s must be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment! If a hospital does not have enough, the staff must be allowed to bring their own to work with them.

From Texas to Washington, California to New York, Michigan to Florida, our front line soldiers are falling to the waste side. We must protect them with the proper supplies! How will you recover if the person treating you reinfects you? Who will save your life when the doctor is lying next to you on a ventilator? Who will keep you alive long enough for your body to fight the virus if the nurse is collapsed on the floor dying?

Please sign the petition if you demand the hospitals and clinics protect their staff by allowing them to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)! Some hospitals have only changed their policies when doctors and nurses beg the media to help them. We should not have to shame them into protecting the ones who are saving our lives, minute by minute. We do not send police and soldiers out in civilian clothes, we give them helmets and bullet proof vests. Please join me in fighting for the healthcare workers to get their vest and helmet!
