Pharmacy Personal Protection Equipment in COVID-19 Pandemic

OATH OF A PHARMACIST
At this time, I vow to devote my professional life to the service of all local and global communities through the profession of pharmacy.
I will consider the welfare of humanity and relief of human suffering my primary concerns.
I will apply my knowledge, experience, and skills to the best of my ability to assure optimal outcomes for my patients.
CDC stated, “Healthcare personnel (HCP) are on the front lines of caring for patients with confirmed or possible infection with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and therefore have an increased risk of exposure to this virus. HCPs can minimize their risk of exposure when caring for patients by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).”
Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are also health care providers that are one of the most vulnerable people to contract an infection at this trouble time. Drug companies like CVS, Walgreens and Walmart pharmacies, to name a few, are not providing their employees with adequate safety equipments. There primary focus is to maximize profits at the costs of the people and the hard working pharmacists while at risk. How are we allowing this to continue? How can we get them to listen and start caring for our wellbeing so we can continue to serve the public and our communities.
Please help us by joining together and petition to fight for our causes and our safety.
