I've been thinking about this for a very long time, and am very passionate about how I feel, I hope you feel the same and will help support my concerns.

I have adopted 5 children 2 sets of siblings 3 boys and 2 girls, one set has 10 more siblings from the same mom, all 5 children were born exposed to methamphetamine in utero and were born prematurely. All of my children will have life changing disabilities and struggles due to the pre exposure to this drug even with all the early intervention that I obtained for my children.

My main issue with this is that the biological mothers can do this, once, twice and up to 12 or even more times without any punishment by law, it would be the same scenario if A parent went home and shot their child up with Meth and no punishment would be handed. Why is this? Why can't there be a law if you give birth to a drug exposed baby you will be mandated to get a depo shot or some form of prevention or punishment?

The time, energy and money that is spent yearly to doctors, social workers, judges, foster parents, adoptive parents,  group homes, is massive. I have spent years trying to give my children a life they deserve of love, passion, advocacy,  understanding and acceptance.  There has got to be something we can do to stop this cycle of abuse.
