No one is reporting on nurses and doctors being told not to wear masks bc it will “scare” patients, at the expense of job loss or write up. It has happened in my own family and I find it reprehensible especially since my SIL, who is a nurse, has asthma and is more susceptible to the harshness of this virus and has been exposed to the virus. I understand there is a shortage of PPE, but they’ve been told they cannot bring it from home and will be fired or written up if they do so. These are the folks on the front lines. I’ve seen countless articles online about it, yet no national news has reported it. It is beyond negligent. Please write your news sources and/or governors if you feel you can. My niece also has asthma. So it would not only affect my sister in law, but her daughter, and further, my whole family. This is just one story, but it’s multiplied by so many that are the same. Please allow nurses and doctors to minimally protect themselves, even if at their own expense, without retribution. Please allow it, especially since patients would likely welcome the extra precaution. There is no downside to allowing it. Please help if you can. Let’s err on the side of caution.
