As the Holocaust begins to fade from memory, it is more important now than ever to educate today’s youth- and future generations- about this tragic piece of history. It is vital to learn about the Holocaust and its roots of anti-semitism, hate, and discrimination, as well as genocide. I propose that schools be required to teach the Holocaust every year of high school.
    We’ve all heard the phrase, “Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.” With the hateful themes of the Holocaust still present around the globe today, the importance of this education is unquestionable.
