The National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA, reported in early April, that the first three months of 2015 are the hottest on record. 

The USDA Forest Service reports on their website "For the last 10 years, an average of about 3,500 human-caused wildfires have burned an average of approximately 400,000 acres of National Forest System land annually, with most caused by campfires."

We, the undersigned, ask the USDA Forest Service, the BLM and the Idaho Department of Lands to implement Idaho interagency campfire restrictions NOW.  In addition, we ask that you implement all other measures possible to reduce the chances of wildfires breaking out in Idaho. 

Wildfires threaten lives, homes, communities, and natural resources. We understand that most wildfires are a result of natural causes.  However, we feel that all causes of wildfires must be addressed, including human caused wildfires.
