Over 43 million Americans have student loan debt. This federal debt totals to about $1.5 Trillion, plus $119 billion from private sources not baked by the US government. The overall cost of attending a public university has only gone up over the decades, meanwhile wages have steadily stayed the same. Students are the future leaders of our nation, therefore they should focus their time on improving the quality of country, not on paying loans they took when they were 18 years old.
