The United States Congress as it stands today is inefficient with neither party willing to negotiate with the other. There is simply too much "old blood" in congress. Elected officials are allegedly there to represent and serve their citizens; currently the vast majority of them are simply milking the system. There should be a 2-term (12 year) maximum for Senators and a 4-term (8 year) maximum for members of the House. Polititians are more concerned with keeping their votes that they fail to make the tough decisions. It’s time to wipe the slate clean and start with fresh representatives.
