In commemoration of the upcoming 53rd anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s, "I Have A Dream" speech the MLK Memorial Foundation (the official organization of the MLK monument in Washington D.C.), feels it is encumbered upon us to engage in a national dialogue on the current fragile state of MLK's dream as direct result of our divisive politics, police brutality, racism, homophobia, Islamophobia, etc-- we as citizens must be more vigilant than ever in guarding against the erosion of basic human rights in this country.
In an effort to raise awareness and encourage the public to act, we are calling on members of Congress to reject discrimination against American citizens based on race, religion or sexual orientation.
